Serena P. Kumar, MSN, ANP-BC, IFMCP, is a Board Certified Adult Health Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Integrative, Regenerative and Functional Medicine. She has a passion for "getting to the root of the problem" and helping people lead healthier, happier lives. Her clinical expertise includes Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy for Men and Women including Hormone Pellet Therapy, Thyroid and Adrenal Optimization, and Customized Weight Loss and Maintenance. She also specializes in Chronic Illnesses, including prevention and often, reversal of high cholesterol, hypertension and Diabetes II. Serena P. Kumar believes in the provider-patient partnership, focusing on prevention, patient education, customized nutrition and cutting-edge functional medicine lab testing.
Serena P. Kumar attained her Masters in Science in Nursing from Emory University. She has had extensive post-graduate training in Functional Medicine, and is one of only a handful of the Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioners in Georgia. Also a Diplomat in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), Serena is constantly learning and growing in this exciting field, and is currently working on a post-graduate Certificate in Advanced Metabolic Endocrinology through A4M and the University of South Florida School of Medicine. Serena P. Kumar has also had the opportunity of working with, and being mentored by Dr. Jeff Donohue, a bio-identical hormone expert in the Atlanta area for over four years before opening her own practice in 2016.
